Abbott Little is the dynamic consulting partnership of Kerry Abbott and Shelagh Little. With a combined total of more than 30 years of experience in housing and human services, Abbott Little provides a comprehensive array of services to non-profit and public agency clients. Bio: Shelagh Little

Shelagh Little has an extensive background related to supportive housing and human services, having served in both government and non-profit management in both New York City and San Francisco. Her most recent position in government was Deputy Director of Housing for the San Francisco Human Services Agency, where she helped implement the City’s “housing first” system of placing homeless individuals into housing.

As a consultant, Ms. Little has worked with government, non-profit and foundation clients, specializing in planning process facilitation and grant and report writing.

Bio: Kerry Abbott

Kerry Abbott spent more than fifteen years in non-profit executive management, working with supportive and affordable housing providers and social service and advocacy organizations. Her most recent position was as Deputy Director of the Tenderloin Housing Clinic, where she oversaw the Property Management, Support Services, Money Management, Human Resources, and Financial Functions of the organization. During her tenure, THC brought more than 1,200 units of housing under non-profit management.

Currently, Ms. Abbott consults with non-profit and government agencies on program planning, design and operations. She has worked extensively on the gathering and refining of best practices materials, in addition to assisting individual agencies with their program funding and structural needs.

Highlighted Projects

MHSA Housing Assistance:

Abbott Little is assisting housing and mental health departments in several counties in allocating funds for their Mental Health Services Act housing programs. Assistance includes systems implementation, centralized referral planning, NOFA/RFP development, technical assistance to providers, and community input processes.



Legal Services for Veterans:

Abbott Little is conducting a feasibility study for a non-profit agency seeking to expand pro-bono services for homeless veterans. The project analyzes other successful models and provides funding feasibility and program design services.
